About this book Read this bookRalph Roister Doister By Nicholas Udall: "Among these four plays is one The Four P's which while it is in form a debate is so free from any pretense of serious purpose so undisguisedly intended for purposes of merriment and so realistic in its characterization that as Young has said it shows close affiliation with the farce"

About this book Read this bookRalph Roister Doister By Nicholas Udall: "These plays and indeed the two others to the consideration of which we come in a moment were long regarded as an outgrowth of the morality their radical departure from its form and spirit being considered as due to Heywood's original genius The probability is that these dialogues are due to inspiration from the French and that Heywood with use of native material and with indubitable originality and skill naturalized the new type found in French models

Smooth Persuasion
Now I'm not one to brag but I have to tell you, I think I am the best looking Curtis boy, and maybe even the best looking Greaser. The girls all like to talk to me too. I guess you could say I'm pretty smooth. I can even give you some proof. You know Sandy? Well, she used to like this other guy and she is even going to have his baby. But that don't change her mind. She is gunna be mine forever because I'm better looking, I'm nicer, and I'm smoother than all the other guys.
And that is not the only proof I have. Now don't get me wrong, me and my brothers are really tight but sometimes I can tell that Ponyboy wants to be like me. He wants to be handsome and smooth too. He want to be with the ladies like I am. I know that kid will come around one day. He can learn to be kind of smooth. But I think being smooth just comes natural. You can't help it just like you can't help it if you're ugly. I just can't help it that I'm good looking.
So you don't have to take my word for it. You can just tell that I'm the smoothest one and I was just born with the looks. No one denies it and the proof speaks for itself.
